Who this policy covers. NexusCortex LLC is the parent company and legal operating entity. UnitAxon is its registered doing-business-as (DBA) name. This policy applies to purchases of UnitAxon subscriptions and services unless a written order states a more specific term. Payments at checkout are processed by Paddle as the payment provider and, where applicable, merchant of record.
1. Subscription cancellations
You may request cancellation through the subscription or account controls made available to you, or by emailing [email protected] from your account email. Cancellation stops future renewals once it has been processed. Unless the checkout or applicable law says otherwise, access remains available until the end of the already-paid billing period.
Cancellation alone does not automatically issue a refund for a charge already made. Please retain the cancellation confirmation for your records.
2. Refund eligibility
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for a billing period that has started, except where a refund is required by applicable law or approved under this policy. We will review refund requests made within 14 days of the relevant charge, taking into account the reason for the request, account usage, billing history, any service issue, and applicable legal requirements. A request within 14 days is eligible for review, but is not an automatic guarantee of a refund.
We will give particular consideration to duplicate charges, a charge made in error, a charge you did not authorise, or a material service issue that we are unable to resolve within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory refund, cancellation, or other right you have under applicable law.
3. One-time purchases and expert services
For one-time purchases or separately quoted expert services, contact us promptly if you believe a charge was incorrect or you wish to cancel before work begins. If work has started or a deliverable has been provided, any refund will be assessed against the accepted quotation, work completed, the reason for the request, and applicable law. A signed quotation or order may set out additional refund terms for that engagement.
4. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with the account email, the charge date, amount and currency, the transaction or invoice reference if available, and a brief explanation. Do not send full card numbers, security codes, passwords, or other sensitive authentication information. We may request reasonable information to verify the purchase and protect the account.
We aim to acknowledge requests within five business days and to communicate the outcome as soon as reasonably practical. Complex, disputed, or legally regulated requests may take longer.
5. Approved refunds and payment processing
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through Paddle or the payment provider that processed the transaction. The time for the funds to appear depends on the payment provider and your financial institution. Where a payment provider's customer support process applies, we may direct you to that provider or coordinate with it to handle the request.
6. Billing errors and disputed transactions
If you believe a payment is incorrect, contact us promptly so we can investigate. We may review the relevant checkout, subscription, invoice, and payment records. Please contact us before initiating a payment dispute where practical, but this request does not waive any rights you have with your bank, payment provider, or under applicable law.
